Vinous Neal Martin - 01 Jan 20
The 2018 Pommard Les Fremiers 1er Cru, matured in 25% new oak, was missing some cohesion on the nose and felt a little too ripe for my liking. The palate is fleshy and generous with fine acidity and plenty of spicy red fruit, but it needs more complexity and terroir expression toward the finish.
